- I have a PhD in Musicology from Cornell University. With 25 years of experience teaching piano, my approach is detail-oriented and informed by my academic knowledge. My students have consistently received high ratings in piano festivals, competitions and the Certificate of Merit program. I have published many articles and book chapters about classical music. When teaching piano, I explain musical concepts in a clear and accessible way, tailored to the student's age, goals and level. I help students play the piano with feeling, expression, healthy technique-- and, most importantly, with enjoyment and creativity.
